President William Ruto has called on leaders and residents of Uasin Gishu, Nandi, and Elgeyo Marakwet counties to embrace unity and cooperation as they prepare to jointly host this year's Mashujaa Day celebrations. He said the occasion presents an opportunity for the three counties to showcase the region's development, culture and spirit of togetherness.

Speaking during a regional engagement, President Ruto urged local leaders to set aside political differences and work collectively to ensure the national event is successfully organised. He noted that collaboration among the three counties would strengthen regional integration and promote inclusive development.

The President also highlighted the government's continued investment in infrastructure, education, healthcare and agriculture across the Rift Valley, reaffirming his administration's commitment to improving livelihoods and expanding economic opportunities for residents.

Preparations for the Mashujaa Day celebrations are already underway, with national and county governments expected to coordinate logistics, security and infrastructure ahead of the event. The annual celebration honours Kenya's heroes and heroines while recognising their contribution to the country's growth and unity.

Uasin Gishu Governor and other regional leaders welcomed the President's call for cooperation, expressing confidence that the region is ready to host a successful national celebration that reflects the country's unity and shared aspirations.
